Pix that seem out of focus are the result of distorted, super heated air. The Park Ranger gal first seen in image 0027 is pointing to the Jewel Flower.... a Federally protected plant. It is found no where else in the world but on the Tiburon Peninsula. You will see her explaining this to the Fire Fighters and also note the red flags down at the burn site marking where that flower is growing. The area to be burned are invasive Acacia trees that were cut down last year and are completely dry.
